Alice Sinclair was a member of Hunter Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers NSW and offered her support to get the Lake Macquarie Branch of FAWNSW up and running when there was an interest expressed by our founding member, Rina Robinson. Alice maintained her support of both Hunter and LakeMac FAW branches until her untimely death.

Category A: Poetry (free or traditional to 50 lines).
Category B: Short Story (to 2,500 words).
Theme: Out of the Shadows.
Prizes in each category:
$150 + certificate for first;
$100 + certificate for second;
Certificate for third (most commended).
Eligibility: Open to all writers.
Limit: Maximum two entries per entrant.
Entry fee: $15 for each entry (regardless of category).

Publication in the anthology: The 15 highest scoring short stories and the 15 highest scoring poems are eligible to be published in our anthology. Copyright will remain with the author.
Notification of winners: Winners will be advised by email, and announced at the Lake Macquarie FAW meeting, Saturday, 12 November 2022. Results will also be published in a FAW(NSW) issue of Writers Voice.

At the judges’ discretion, the first prize may be split between two entrants (i.e. certificate and $75 each).
