We are a group of aspirational writers who meet to develop our skills.
We host a variety of professional guest speakers at our monthly meetings in Toronto and the bi-annual Alice Sinclair Memorial Writing Competition.
New members are welcome at all levels of writing experience.
Our meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at Toronto Multipurpose Centre, 9 Thorne Street, Toronto. NSW, at 2.30pm. Please refer to the Program Tab for details of what is coming up next!

I would be interested to join your group.
I have written a few books (mostly non fiction) and would be interested to talk with other writers.
As you would know there are over 2.5 million ebooks out there so it is very hard to get noticed.
I would be interested in other writers experiences.
By way of background I have an economics degree and am a retired management consultant.

Hi Stephen. Thank you for contacting us. We meet on the second Saturday of every month at the Toronto Community Centre Hub at 97 The Boulevard, Toronto at 2pm. Next meeting is on the 12th May. You’ll be able to meet everyone and talk. The critique groups are really great for giving practical and clever advice and they meet twice a month at Wangi Wangi and Rathmines. Hope to see you at our next meeting on 12th May.

I would like to come along on the 13th of August as a visitor/potential member, and would like to just sit in on that visit and listen.
I may arrive a little late, around 3.00pm, if that isn’t too late, because of a previous commitment that finishes at 2.30pm.
Do I need to bring anything along this time?

I was a friend of Alice Sinclair. We became friends when we first met in a 1991 Poetry At The Pub venue at the Grand Hotel opposite the Newcastle Court House. They were good days and the venue continues at the Wickham Park hotel after 3 decades. Amazing!
It would be a pleasure and a privilege to be part of your group. Writing in the Hunter region is prolific, and generally of a good quality. We produce some excellent writers, and it’s great to see organisations like yours encouraging those with such worthy aspirations.
