2020 Program

Please note: Due to the impacts of the coronavirus situation our group cancelled face-to-face Lake Mac FAW events (both general meetings and critique meetings) throughout 2020. Where possible we met via Zoom video conferences. We hope to start meeting again early in 2021.

Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday in every month at the Toronto Multi Purpose Centre (TMPC), 9 Thorne Street, Toronto NSW. There is normally a discussion and/or a presentation by a writer or a short masterclass. Watch this page as details of forthcoming topics become available.

All are welcome to come to check out what we do. There is a $5 donation from everyone to help with sundry expenses and further minimal costs for masterclasses. You can also become a member. At the meetings you can find out all about our brilliant members’ critique meetings! They are held at Wangi Wangi and at Rathmines.  Wangi Wangi Critique meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday of the month, at 10am. Rathmines every 4th Saturday at 1pm.

We are very excited to announce that local writer of best-selling psychological thrillers, Jaye Ford, will be our guest in March. Jaye’s many writing achievements, including the publication of five of her thrillers in the UK, USA, Canada and Germany, are listed on her website.

February

With Lake Mac FAW’s first anthology hot off the press, we will be devoting this month’s meeting to the topic of producing an anthology – contributing, editing, and publishing. We have a few learnings to share with you. Copies of the anthology, Beneath the Surface, will be available for purchase.
