We are a group of aspiring writers who meet to develop our skills.
We host a variety of professional guest speakers and run the biennial Alice Sinclair Memorial Writing Competition. New members are welcome at all levels of writing experience. Please refer to the Program Tab for details of what is coming up next!

I would like to come along on the 13th of August as a visitor/potential member, and would like to just sit in on that visit and listen.
I may arrive a little late, around 3.00pm, if that isn’t too late, because of a previous commitment that finishes at 2.30pm.
Do I need to bring anything along this time?

I was a friend of Alice Sinclair. We became friends when we first met in a 1991 Poetry At The Pub venue at the Grand Hotel opposite the Newcastle Court House. They were good days and the venue continues at the Wickham Park hotel after 3 decades. Amazing!
It would be a pleasure and a privilege to be part of your group. Writing in the Hunter region is prolific, and generally of a good quality. We produce some excellent writers, and it’s great to see organisations like yours encouraging those with such worthy aspirations.
